Ayurveda

Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga, is the Science of the Health and Healing of the Body.

Ayurveda has a unique perspective on our body and how to live our life optimally.

We are all unique and a different constitution (what ayurveda calls dosha), therefore why would we be prescribed the same regime? Based on our unique constitution, we learn to make choices that bring or keep our body and mind in balance. Ayurveda teaches that all dis-ease begins with an imbalance somewhere, and it is powerful to know we have the ability to bring it back into balance and a state of health and wellbeing!

Detoxes and Cleanses

I offer fall detoxes and spring cleanses with my partner Chris Lean. These programs are not your everyday detox or cleanse. Based on the teachings of Ayurveda and built on years of science and success, we incorporate simple healthy foods, explore current habits, follow simple cleanse protocols, introduce new daily habits to support balance and wellbeing, and help you transition back into your daily life.

If you have taken our detoxes and cleanses before you know how amazing you can feel when you’re done. The power of transformation using simple and safe practices to enhance your personal constitution or dosha’s (how you’re put together, we’re all a bit different) is not to be underestimated.

Swastha is an Ayurvedic word that best describes how Ayurveda determines health. It states "One who is established in Self, who has balanced doshas (primary life force), balanced agni (fire of digestion), properly formed dhatus (tissues), proper elimination of malas (waste products), well-functioning bodily processes, and whose mind, soul and senses are full of bliss is called a healthy person".

What is Ayurveda?

Tools from Ayurveda are simple yet profound, and help you live in balance with nature and daily life.  When we work together we take a look at the balance or imbalance of the body/mind, rather than what is "wrong", and help bring you back into harmony or homeostasis. This is where we can live optimally. We are all part of nature, and understanding our own unique elemental design and how the world affects us, is vital for making healthy choices and creating supportive daily habits.

The primary practices we incorporate with Ayurveda are daily habits, diet, and lifestyle. These are very doable and easy to incorporate, with profound affects!
